NEWS RELEASE:

Lake Tschida 2015 Opening Season News
Tuesday, February 24, 2015

Lake Tschida’s recreation season opens for online reservations March 23, 2015.

Phone reservations will be available starting March 25, 2015 by calling 701-584-2201.

New to 2015, all sites will now be pay sites with camping fees starting at ten dollars a night for a primitive site, per unit, limit of two units per site. For those larger camping groups, traditional group sites are still available and can also be reserved online or by phone.

Reservations must be made at least seven (7) days in advance of your arrival otherwise all unreserved sites are available on a first come first serve basis. Self-registration Kiosks will be conveniently located close to camping areas.

The Boy Scout area will continue to be open to public use while the scouts are not at camp. However, the area will be for day use only to allow easier access to the fishing pier and bird watching opportunities. No overnight camping will be allowed to the general public.

Because of a generous donation from the Elgin Lions Club, the South Side (Schatz) RV dump station is completed and will be open early in the season. Seasonal work will begin on the new fish cleaning station, playground and walking trail in that area.
